Lost Vineyards is the perfect wine for any type of special occasion.  As you know, personalized wine bottles have become very popular for wedding favors, anniversary favors, or simply to dress-up tables at special events.  Conduct an internet search and you will be hard pressed to find personalized wines that sell for less than $15 per bottle!  What a total rip-off!

 

 Lost Vineyards' Suggestion:

  1. Order a Super Sampler and find the wines that you think would be most appealing to your guests.

  1. Call or visit a local printer of your choice – the one doing your invitations would be a good start.

    1. Tell them that you want to personalize wine bottles with a “bottle necker.”  Bottle neckers are nicely printed cards that slip over the neck of the bottle.  Just take a look at practically any store that sells wine and you will see a tremendous amount of various bottle neckers available.  The paper suppliers that your printer uses should have several options available.

    2. On these cards you can personalize to your choice, for example print pictures, thank the guests, tell a story,  etc.  You might want to carry through with the same color theme and printing style used on your invitations.

  2. Order the wine needed for your reception, party or special event at least 2 weeks in advance to insure timely delivery.

    1. We use a rule of thumb of 1 bottle of wine for every age appropriate guest if you are serving the wine at the tables.

 

Further cost saving ideas:

  1. Use a business address to ship the wine and save $2 per case.  We can ship right to where your event will take place – which in many cases is a business address.

  2. Instead of using “bottle neckers” consider using “door hangers.”  Yes, we know this sounds tacky but no one will know but you that what is hanging from your wine bottles are door hangers.  In fact, dressed-up door hangers can look better than bottle neckers as you normally have more surface area to print on.

  3. Get quotes from more than one printer.

 

Bottom Line:

 $2.99 (wine) + 1.50 (average shipping) + $1.00 (bottle necker) =  $5.50 per bottle (estimate)

Of course a lot depends on what you choose for personalization etc., but I am sure you get the point that this will save you a lot of money!
